Project No. 345

hoyt

Brighton

At the Hoyt, every detail is crafted to infuse the project with a casual yet refined elegance, resulting in a home that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also effortlessly liveable, inviting, and imbued with warmth.

Rooted in fundamental mckimm principles of orientation, breezeways, and thermal mass, the design of Hoyt capitalizes on its northerly aspect to flood the main living areas with an abundance of natural light, creating a bright and airy ambiance throughout.

The architectural layout of the residence revolves around the central outdoor pool, forming a graceful U-shape configuration that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor living spaces. Floor-to-ceiling glazing blurs the boundaries between the interior and exterior, allowing for a fluid connection with the surrounding landscape.

A focal point of the home, the staircase embodies both form and function, serving as a unifying element that connects the three levels of the residence. Crafted from off-form concrete and timber treads, the staircase is adorned with intricate copper tubes, adding a touch of sophistication and visual interest to the architectural composition.

Designed with a young family in mind, the Hoyt caters to an entertainer's lifestyle, with the kitchen and living areas thoughtfully opening up to the outdoors through sliding glass panels. This seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces not only enhances the flow of the home but also creates a versatile environment that effortlessly adapts to the changing needs of its inhabitants.

Hoyt epitomizes the perfect balance between form and function, offering a sanctuary that is both stylish and practical—a true embodiment of modern living at its finest.
